National Coming Out Day 2016

National Coming Out Day is October 11th! Special door decs have been made to celebrate!

National Coming Out Day is a time to celebrate coming out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) or as an ally. Oct. 11, 2016 will mark the 28th anniversary of National Coming Out Day.

28 years ago was the first  National Coming Out Day. 1 out of every 2 Americans has someone close to them who is gay or lesbian and for transgender people, that number is only 1 in 10. When people know someone who is LGBTQ, they are far more likely to support equality under the law.

The Doyle Center will be celebrating all day with activities both inside Warner Hall and outside!

Tuesday, October 11, 2016 – 11:00am to 2:00pm
Doyle Center (Warner Hall Room 136)
Join us to celebrate National Coming Out Day.  We will have activities indoors and outdoors at the Doyle Center.  Inside there will be rainbow cupcakes, refreshments and a chance to talk about Coming Out Day.  Outside we will have free button-making, tie-dying, yard games, sidewalk art, bubbles and door prizes!  Again, it is all FREE!
